<title>Muğla il merkezinde yaşayan yaşlı bireylerin yaşam kalitelerinin incelenmesi</title>

<summary type="text">Muğla il merkezinde yaşayan yaşlı bireylerin yaşam kalitelerinin incelenmesi

Giriş ve Amaç: İnsan yaşamının giderek uzaması, yaşlı nüfusun toplam nüfus içinde artması, bireylerin ileri yaşlarında da sağlıklı kalmasını gündeme getirmiştir. Çalışma Muğla İl Merkezinde Sağlık Ocağı bölgesinde yaşayan yaşlıların yaşam kalitelerini incelemek amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte olup, Muğla İl merkezi I ve II no'lu sağlık ocağı bölgesinde yaşayan 3679 yaşlı bireyden 1047'sine yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle 20 Kasım 2003- 10 Ocak 2004 tarihleri arasında kesitsel olarak uygulandı. Ankette; yaşlıların sosyo-demografik özelliklerini belirleyen 7 soruluk kişisel form ve Kısa-form (SF-36) yaşam kalitesi ölçeği kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmada Muğla İl Merkezinde yaşayan yaşlıların %41.9'unun 65-69 yaş grubunda, %50.7'sinin erkek, %43.4'ünün ilkokul mezunu, %26.2'sinin SSK'lı, %52.6'sının 303 milyon ve altı gelire sahip, %63.6'sının eşiyle beraber yaşamakta olduğu saptandı. Yaşlıların yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim, sosyal güvence, ekonomik durum, birlikte yaşadığı kişi durumlarıyla yaşam kalitesi arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlılık tespit edildi. Yaşlıların yaşam kalitesi alt ölçeklerinden aldıkları toplam puanlara bakıldığında; en yüksek 54.34±45.95 ortalamanın “rol güçlüğü (duygusal)”nde, en düşük 36.53±16.23 ortalamanın “vitalite” alt ölçeğinde olduğu saptandı. Sonuç: Yaşlıların kendilerini sürekli yorgun, bitkin hissetmeleri (vitalite) yaşam kalitelerini olumsuz etkilerken, duygusal sorunlara bağlı işte ya da diğer günlük etkinliklerde sorun olmaması yaşam kalitelerini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.; Backgroud and Aims: Getting human's life longer and increasing of the population of old people in total population have caused human being's keeping fit and healthy in advanced years as well to be discussed in everyday life. This study was done in order to find out life quality of the old who live in the city centre of Muğla. Material and Methods: It was a defining type of research and was done with 1047 old people out of 3679 who live in the region of No: 1 and No: 2 local health services in the city centre of Muğla by using face to face method cross selection between the dates the twentieth of November, 2003 and the tenth of January, 2004. In the questionnare the personal forms consisting of seven questions that specify socio-demographic qualifications of the old people, short forms (SF 36) and the measure of life quality were used. Results: In the research it was determined that 41.9% of people were between the age 65 and 69, 50.7% of people were male, 43.4 % of them were primary school graduate, 26.2% were from Social Insurance Organisation, 52.6% had 303 million TL. or less monthly income, 63.6% live with their partners. In the study a meaningfulness between life quality and age, sex, education, social insurance, economic condition and partners of people was fixed in terms of statistics. When we look at the total scores that the old people took from the sub- measures it was found that the highest mean 54.34 &amp;plusmn; 45.95 was in the difficulty of role (emotional), the lowest mean 36.53 &amp;plusmn; 16.23 was in &amp;amp; #8220; vitality&amp;amp; #8221; sub-measure. Conclusion: On the one hand the old people's feeling tired and exhaused all the time influences their (vitality) life qualities negatively, on the other hand not having emotional problems at work or in daily activities influences their life qualities positively.

The photocatalytic degradation of olive mill wastewater (OMW) of TiO2/V2O5/AC and TiO2/ WO3/AC (activated carbon) catalysts, prepared by a sol gel method in aqueous solution was investigated. Initially, the TiO2/V2O5/AC and TiO2/WO3/AC nanoparticles were obtained using a sufficient thermal treatment by gradually increasing the temperature from 300, 400 and 500 degrees C with 1 h intervals for a total of 3 h. Then, the characterizations of these materials were carried out using (SEM), (TEM), (EDX), (FTIR) and X- (XRD). Secondly; the photocatalytic degradation of these materials has been investigated in OMW using ultraviolet (UV), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and nanoparticles. Initially, chemical coagulation experiments with lime and alum have been carried out to obtain more treatment. In the photolytic degradation, the effect of catalysis, times, pH, H2O2 and temperature were selected as parameters. The results show that the removal percentage of color, phenol and lignin increased with the use of H2O2 and O-3 together. The percentage removals of color for TiO2/WO3/AC, TiO2/V2O5/AC were 89.55 and 86.30% respectively. In addition, the percentage removals for phenol were 94.30, 96.26% and for lignin 51.96 and 48.08%, respectively. Optimum values for the degradation of color and phenol were found at pH 7.0 using TiO2/WO3/AC, and TiO2/V2O5/AC, whereas, the optimum degradation for lignin was achieved when the solution was pH&lt;5.0 and pH&gt;9.0 for the same nanocomposite materials. The optimum time and temperature were found 24 h at 308K. The pseudo first order model was applied and R-2 values were from 0.90 to 0.99.
