Medical education via films fits into the 'case-work' method, and is a method of teaching that is pleasurable for the students, and includes identification, review, and discussion, in contrast to the one-sided narrative style of the more traditional teaching methods. Its contributions to medical education will be analyzed using selected films that deal with specific diseases.
