Electrochemical hydrogen generation
Özet
Hydrogen is an important energy carrier resource that is discussed as an alternative to fossil-fuel sources in response to limiting greenhouse gas emissions, health problems, and increased energy demand. Hydrogen is obtained from fossil-fuel reforming, electrochemical, biological methods, and waste gas streams. In this section, thermodynamics of electrochemical hydrogen production methods are examined. Electrochemical hydrogen production is the important ways in which hydrogen can be used for hydrogen applications by combining different disciplines and using different methods. PEM, alkali, and high-temperature electrolysis of the water from the electrochemical methods and their developments are presented.
