Turizm Talebine Bağlı Olarak Uluslar Arası Turizm Hareketlerindeki Gelişmeler

Abstract

Son yıllarda, küreselleşmeyle birlikte, dünya genelinde; teknolojide, iletişimde ve ulaşım sistemlerinde birtakım değişimler olmuştur. Bu değişimler birçok sektör gibi turizm sektörünü de olumlu yönde etkilemiştir. Küreselleşmenin etkileri; ekonomi, hukuk, siyasi, sosyal, kültürel ve teknolojik alanlarda olduğu gibi, turizm alanında da görülmektedir. Küreselleşmenin beraberinde getirdiği, iletişim teknolojisindeki hızlı gelişmeler, ulaşım araçlarındaki hız, konfor, kapasite ve fiyat faktörlerindeki gelişmeler uluslar arası turizmin gelişmesine büyük bir ivme kazandırmıştır. Turizm sektörü; bir taraftan ülkeler için önemli bir gelir kaynağı olması sebebiyle, diğer taraftan uluslararası ticaretin gelişmesi ve insanların yaşam standartlarının yükselmesine paralel olarak seyahat etme eğiliminin artması sebebiyle önemli gelişmeler kaydetmiştir. Turizm sektörünün, özellikle tarihi zenginlikleri ve doğal güzellikleri fazla olan ülkelerin kalkınmasında son derece önemli bir lokomotif görevi vardır. Bu çalışmada turizm talebi üzerinde etki sahibi olan ekonomik, sosyal, politik, yasal ve psikolojik faktörler daha açık bir şekilde ortaya konulmaya çalışılmış, turizmin küresel ekonomi içindeki yerine ve uluslararası ve bölgelerarası turist hareketlerine değinilmiş, uluslararası turizmin gelişme eğilimleri, turizme açılan yeni bölgelerin durumunun analizi ve uluslararası turizmin geleceğine yönelik sorunlar, öneriler ve eğilimler incelenmiştir.

In recent years, lots of worldwide changes in technology, communication and transportation systems have appeared owing to the globalization process. These changes have many positive effects on the tourism sector like most of the other industries. Some important changes in culture, economy, law, politics and technology have an effect on characteristics and development of the tourism sector. Development in communication technologies and speed, comfort, capacity and price of transportation vehicles are important factors that increase international tourism activities. As international trade has become more and more popular and as the improving living standards of the people have awaken interest in traveling there have been important changes and developments in the tourism sector. Today, developments in international tourism formalities provide to a large group of people the opportunity of traveling in a boundless world. So, tourism activity takes an important part in the global economy. Tourism incomes have great importance for the economic development of developing countries that have tourism supply. In this study, all of these factors that have an influence on international tourism activities will be examined in detail. Furthermore, foresights about the future of tourism sector, opportunities for new destinations which will provide tourism supply, important risk factors that may have positive or negative effects on tourism development process will be evaluated and analyzed.
