Orhan Okay Hoca’dan Dersler

Abstract

Kıymetli Hocam'ın ebediyete intikali üzerinden aylar geçti, ancak onun aziz hatırası hafızamda bugün gibi yaşamaya devam ediyor. Sınıf kapısında göründüğü andan itibaren gülen yüzü ve zarafetiyle hepimizi ayrı ayrı etkiler ve ardından selis Türkçesi ile bütünleşen varlığı, âdeta ruhumuza nüfuz ederdi. Bir talebenin eğitim aldığı hocasından beklediği her şey Orhan Hocamız'da fazlasıyla vardı. Kendileri bilgeliği, çalışma alanına hakimiyeti, disiplinlerarası bilgisi, hayata ve edebiyata eleştirel bakabilme yetkinliği gibi özellikleri yanında, öğrencilerini daima yükselten bir kişiliğe sahipti. Ben Orhan Hocamız'ın anısına tahsis edilen bu sayı için-naçizane-kendilerinden almaktan sonsuz bahtiyarlık duyduğum Yeni Türk Edebiyatı derslerini ve bu derste bizzat tuttuğum notları kaleme almayı arzu ettim. Bu vesile ile Hocamız'ın ders verme pratiği ve işlediği konuları gündeme getirme imkânı bulmaktan mutluluk duyacağım

It has been for months that my dear teacher departed this life, however his mighty memory continues to save its place solidly in my mind.. From the moment that he appeared at the classroom door, he would affect each of us with his smiling face and grace. Afterwards, his existence together with his smooth Turkish would simply penetrate to our souls. Our Orhan teacher used to own all the things exceedingly a student might expect from a teacher. He used to have a personality that always raised his students besides the qualities of his wisdom, his dominance of his study field, his interdisciplinary knowledge and his perfection of viewing life and literature critically. I humbly desired to write up the notes that I, myself, took in the class of New Turkish Literature for the issue assigned to the memory of Orhan teacher, and I feltinfinite bliss for the fact that I took this class from Orhan teacher himself. Hereby, I will be glad to find opportunity to make ouur teacher’s lecturing practice and the subjects he discussed current issues.
